HIFLEX Webshop expands functionality with bundled software

HIFLEX has implemented a strategic expansion of its award-winning Web2Print solution by bundling a number of additional software licenses with the standard HIFLEX Webshop. Callas pdfToolbox, PDFlib, Kroppr and PageFlip are now all standard modules of the Webshop package. These tools, included at no extra cost, enhance both the efficiency of the print provider's own processes and the range of services which can be offered to customers.

JDF & Automation Event Double Header!

Two important automation events in Toronto, ON have been scheduled back to back in order to maximize their educational value. The PIA/CIP4 and Ryerson University/CIP4 events both present a rare opportunity for printers to learn about the future of the industry, as well as exchange ideas and share the challenges and benefits of implementing a JDF workflow. Together they provide an in depth overview of the advantages that an automated JDF workflow can provide.

Internet pioneer „flyerpara.de“ switches to HIFLEX Webshop
The Internet portal www.flyerpara.de has been online for around eight years. At the beginning, the sole objective pursued by its operator – Ortmaier Druck GmbH, based in Frontenhausen, about 100 km northeast of Munich, Germany – was to test the market acceptance of selling printed products via the Internet. Their website functioned quite well for a self-programmed system offering postcards and business cards, at least until more and more customers began to use the portal for their orders and the range of products began to rapidly expand. In this phase, an external service provider was hired to take care of the programming – but he, too, was eventually unable to handle the demand.

HIFLEX recognized for contribution to Clemson University
HIFLEX representatives traveled to Clemson, South Carolina to attend an educational forum at Clemson University and accept the Clemson Corporate Appreciation Award recognizing contributions that the MIS & Web2Print software provider has made to the prestigious University. Clemson selected the HIFLEX Management Information System (MIS) last year and has already begun to take full advantage of this cutting edge JDF Workflow System by using it to expose students to the concepts of advanced MIS systems and automated JDF workflow, a subject rarely taught in educational institutions.

HIFLEX Webshop at the Stuttgart Media University
Hands-on training is the most effective way to learn. The Stuttgart Media University (HdM), a highly respected academy located in Germany, has embraced this knowledge and strives to bolster their educational programs by providing students with the latest software applications in their field. HIFLEX Webshop is the most recent edition to Stuttgart’s curriculum, providing students with practical experience of a Web2Print solution designed specifically for the print industry.

PIA – CIP4 Automation Solutions Network Event

The Printing Industries of America and the International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Post Press (CIP4) Organization have announced their plans to host an Automation Solutions Network Event in Toronto, ON. Participants in the event will be visiting Ampersand Printing, a technologically advanced printer in Guelph, ON, who have implemented and are currently reaping the benefits of a HIFLEX driven JDF workflow. They are a multiple CIP4 CIPPI award winner, having just received a 2009 trophy recognizing them for the Best Process Automation Implementation in North America. See how they were able to reduce entire shifts without decreasing the amount of work completed, reduce the amount of human error in their facility, increase efficiency and speed, and achieve a plethora of other benefits while attaining an enormous return on investment.
