HIFLEX is known worldwide as the technological leader in JDF integration. On drupa stand 9D44, HIFLEX will present Management Information System HIFLEX MIS with
comprehensive JDF/JMF connectivity to ten systems of well-known press and system suppliers in the print and media industry. Live demos will be held in German and
English languages several times per day and will take place in an appropriate show theater that features three large screens, each displaying a different integrated system. |
| The live presentations comprehensively reveal the CIM concept (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) that has already been realised by numerous HIFLEX users: the
integration of all processes relevant for production across system boundaries. This includes the integration of external partners as well. |
| The acceptance of JDF StrippingParams, as calculated in HIFLEX, in the prepress system will also play an important role in the demonstrations. HIFLEX JDF StrippingParams
are transmitted to the prepress workflow system when the initial prepress job is automatically created. They are then used to automatically generate the imposition
scheme without further manual intervention (see screenshots). This eliminates a complete working step for the prepress operator, because the imposition scheme is
automatically created in the prepress workflow system. |
| The live demos at drupa are based on unique real-life experience as HIFLEX has conducted more than 60 JDF installations world-wide. The interaction between the
different systems reveals how printers profit from practical improvements and business benefits through JDF connectivity with HIFLEX (proven by six first-places
and three second-places in the CIP4 Innovation Awards since 2005). |

The geometry of the printing sheet is calculated in HIFLEX during estimation (here: 8-pager for work and turn). |

Imposition data from HIFLEX is then processed to complete signatures in the Kodak Prinergy Workflow. |
