HIFLEX GmbH headquartered in Aachen, Germany, announced today that they will work closer together in the
field of JDF integration (JDF = Job Definition Format of the CIP4 Organization). The commitment to these
joint developments for interfacing Star's 'Sprint' software system and HIFLEX MIS will be ensured by customer
installations. |

| Star Publishing and HIFLEX stated that they have already started a significant realty integration
project for the JDF-networking of their systems in cooperation with an exisiting Sprint user from
the automotive industry and C. Maurer Print and Publishing of Geislingen, Germany. This JDF
connectivity is used in the area of automotive instruction manuals. |
