Order Book
The HIFLEX Order Book is a powerful order management tool with direct links to estimating, production planning and scheduling.

All incoming orders are managed in the HIFLEX Order Book. If an order is based on an estimate, the relevant estimate is assigned to the order and all data from the estimate (such as order description, product group and customer data) is automatically transferred to the order book, where it can be modified if necessary.
As with all modules in the HIFLEX system, the user interface can be modified. The information stored in the order book can be extended with additional information fields. The HIFLEX Order Book screen always displays a precise overview of the most important order information.

The order book is central control for in-house order processing, with fast, mouse-button access to the following tasks:
  • Creating the order confirmation
  • Creating and updating the job docket
  • Scheduling and ordering job-related materials and paper requirements
  • Announcing dates for planned data delivery, ok to print and printing approval
  • Viewing paper status
  • Viewing production levels (see "SFDC and Production Status")
  • Insight into concurrent costing
  • Maintenance of agreed author corrections
  • Overview of planned and completed deliveries
  • Generating order-related e-mails, with the ability to upload print dates (for example)
  • Overview of prepress status through reports generated by JDF/JMF
  • Oversight of production capacity
  • The order book is, besides the customer database, the central point of reference for document management (see "Document Management"). With a single click of a mouse button the system compiles all documents that are connected with an order. With a further click of a button all scanned documents (for instance signed delivery notes), PDF files or e-mails can be stored to the according order and administrated together with the order's papers.
