For a transparent, least-cost production, the 'electronic planning board' and 'SFDC' (shop floor data collection)
are indispensable tools. HIFLEX MIS Factory is JDF-compatible and can be used with systems from well-known manufacturers
such as Agfa, Creo, Kodak, Fujifilm, Heidelberg, KBA, Komori, MAN Roland, MBO and Müller Martini. For more information, click on one of the links below: |

Scheduling
Thanks to forward planning, the HIFLEX Scheduling allows optimal capacity utilization. With increasing
transparency, production processes remain flexible at every point in time. In a networked workflow,
the HIFLEX Scheduling functions as a JDF controller. |

SFDC and Production Status
HIFLEX SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection) and HIFLEX Production Control together report the current
state of progress towards order completion and make it possible to predict further progress in
production and towards completion of an order. |
CIP4 and the CIM Concept
HIFLEX uses JDF as the core and fundamental technology basis for the complete networking of
printing with CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing). In projects with well-known machinery and
systems providers, HIFLEX has accomplished the most successful JDF installations in the world and
is the absolute technology leader. |

Integration with Prepress
JDF/JMF connections between HIFLEX and prepress activities make possible automation right up to
printing plate exposure. Most importantly, quotations are produced automatically and in the framework
of the estimate and at job acceptance are forwarded by JDF to the prepress area. JMF feedback from
prepress production flows transparently and reliably into a back-end cost estimate for ongoing and
accurate cost bookings from prepress that are usually lost in the shuffle. |
Integration with Press Room
HIFLEX MIS is networked with the JDF/JMF capable systems of all printing-equipment manufacturers.
This two-way, real-time communication leads to greater transparency and flexibility in the production process. |
Integration with Postpress
The HIFLEX system dynamically generates a new JDF file for every order produced. Each JDF file provides
the detailed data required for the successful linking of postpress machines. The JDF data used to automate
each post-press operation includes the printing and folding sheet structures required by postpress devices
to completely automate set-up. |
