ACC HSH Group and HIFLEX Integrate Solutions PDF-Version:als PDF öffnen / Persberichtenmore Info
ACC HSH Group, the Polish producer of the innovative PuzzleFlow workflow system has begun integrating its solution with the MIS system from HIFLEX company. The common solution of both companies will be shown at Ipex for the first time.
The co-operation of ACC HSH Group and HIFLEX began at the last year's Print'05 fair in Chicago. Both companies specialise in delivering highly advanced JDF-compatible software solutions for the printing industry. Their products will be shown in the special "JDF Pavilion" during the forthcoming Ipex fair in Birmingham (4-11 of April). ACC HSH Group (Hall 20, booth No. 20-C60) and HIFLEX (Hall 20, booth No. 20-B100) will also be promoting a common PuzzleFlow/MIS solution.

PuzzleFlow system, created by ACC HSH Group specialists, provides almost 40 distinct modules, allowing for professional file processing in graphic arts companies. Unlike other existing workflow systems, PuzzleFlow is not just another queue management system. Instead it provides a variety of powerful engines for native processing of both PDF and Job Ticket files.

The international software company HIFLEX offers a fully integrated MIS (ERP software) developed specifically for the graphic arts industry. The HIFLEX system is currently being used on approx. 10,000 workstations world-wide. The estimating and order processing system supports all printing methods (and combinations of methods) and all products in the graphic arts industry. The software comes with several modules which contain Estimate, Order Management, CRM, Materials Logistics, Document Management, Shop Floor Data Collection and Production Data Collection (PDC), Scheduling, Shipping, JDF-interfaces and eBusiness.
Jerzy Balamut of ACC HSH Group describes the integration details: "Upon order entry in HIFLEX, job data, both administration and technical ones, are sent from the MIS system to PuzzleFlow using JDF/JMF interface. Multiple entries as well as errors and data inconsistencies are avoided. PuzzleFlow tools, such as trapping, colour management and geometry modules are responsible for preparing a cover and the inside pages of the publication. Based on the information delivered by MIS, an imposition is made and output files are ripped using the EagleRIP or sent to outside RIPs via JMF."

The bi-directional link between PuzzleFlow and HIFLEX comprises real-time data exchange with constant transmission of production data (machine usage time, material consumption, authors' corrections, etc.) to HIFLEX while the job is being produced. Manufactured proofs, plates and machine usage times are directly available for actual cost estimating and produced plates are reported to and visualized in the scheduling application.

ACC HSH Group representatives say that a beta version of the system will be shown at Ipex. The full production version will be available within a couple of months. "The first possible installation will take place in Germany" - Jerzy Balamut adds. "We see a big potential for this solutions in many printing companies world-wide."
Andrzej Czyz, partner at ACC HSH Group, states: "We are very glad that our contacts established at Print'05 now result in a common solution from ACC HSH group and HIFLEX. We believe that a combination of a very effective HIFLEX MIS system and our PuzzleFlow highly advanced PDF-based workflow system will bring a very interesting solution for many companies who aim to automate and speed up their production processes."

Stefan Reichhart, CEO of HIFLEX, adds: "Automation technology is a key to process optimization in networked production environments. The key concept in this area is JDF connectivity." And he continues: "The JDF/JMF-link between HIFLEX and Puzzleflow increases the level of automation in prepress, it ensures that job modifications are immediately transmitted to prepress. A further advantage lies in streamlining processes by a fully automatic imposition generation. Printing companies will be able to dispense with a complete process in prepress, increase efficiency and ultimately realize time and cost savings."

"More details regarding our co-operation will be announced at the Ipex fair" - Andrzej Czyz closes.
